  • The Final IFP Conference in Munich, Germany 27th April - 2nd May 2010

From 2007 on, the complete ELSA network has been focusing on a topic which concerns the life of all of us and has become increasingly important in recent times: Intellectual Property. In front of this background of three years of learning and informing about IP, we would like to share the last years` results with you and moreover examine numerous new facets referring to this essential topic. Thus we will have an even closer look at the way IP influences the development of our world not only economically but also ethically and ecologically. Having in mind the numerous new aspects and problems that have been rising in the course of globalization throughout the last decades, we consider it to be worth and necessary to enlighten the role IP will play when meeting those future challenges.

To do so, Munich turns out to be the ideal venue: Being the hometown of the European Patent Office, the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law, the German Federal Patent Court, the German Patent and Trademark Office and accommodating scores of law offices and internationally operating companies, it is all about Intellectual Property and its various forms of appearance in Munich. Therefore we will not only be able to offer numerous academic lectures by renowned experts from throughout Europe, workshops and a panel discussion, but also invite our guests to one or more exciting visits to some of the most important institutions concerning IP.
